Democrat Pat Ryan Declares Candidacy for Ulster County Executive

Gardiner, NY – Today candidate for Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan issued the following statement:

“I want to congratulate County Executive Mike Hein for his nomination to the New Your State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance. During his tenure as Ulster’s first County Executive, Mike has accomplished a tremendous amount for all who live here; always performing with integrity and always with the best interests of his community in mind. Indeed, the county’s loss will be a tremendous gain for all of the people of the state.

“I am tremendously proud to call Ulster County home and truly believe public service to be an honorable calling. I would be humbled to have the opportunity to directly serve the community that helped shape me and has given so much to my family.

I am excited to declare my candidacy for Ulster County Executive. I have a clear vision for how to lead Ulster County forward; we will accelerate economic growth and ensure it benefits all, we will implement a Green New Deal in Ulster County to create jobs and protect our environment, and we will ensure that the County remains a beacon of justice and equality during these turbulent times.

“I have served our country and led successful small businesses creating hundreds of jobs. I have proven that I will always stand up for my neighbors, my community, and for what I believe in. I am ready to bring my experience and energy to fight for the people of Ulster County.”
